At least the birds eat well! I think this is the male of woodpecker couple, if I can judge by its showy head of red feathers. Someone pointed out that I have birds on the brain, and perhaps I do. I always want the shot of the one that got away--this birds much bigger cousin was at the feeder earlier today but I couldn't get the camera and tripod in place before it fled. Things are a bit messed up right now-- vandals broke the imported Golden Chateau so most of the bird feed is on the ground right now. Now I have to rebuild that luxury feeder so that the lid/roof stays on. Impolite eaters and vandals!
